Houston we have a problem
So 6 weeks ago everyone was panicing that the snow would not come.... and now..... well we have too much. It has snowed so much this season it is crazy. It has snowed for the last two days almost non stop and now the village is cut off. A big avalanche has come down near the Tirolerhof between St Jakob & Gand blocking the road and railway track, another huge amount of snow just along form this is also about to avalanche so nobody is coming
in and nobody is going out. It is thought that this snow will avalanche tonight as it is still snowing hard. Not much is likely to change before lunch tomorrow. All morning today Galzig, Rendl, Kapal & Gampen were close with just the lower lifts above the village running. In the afternoon the Gampen did open. I did not go up but reports are that the snow was waste deep on the piste in places!! Crazy.
